Year 1: Foundations in IT and Introduction to Cyber Security
Semester 1:
Students are introduced to the fundamentals of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), programming basics, and number theory, which is essential for understanding cryptography concepts. This semester also introduces cyber security, offering students an initial immersion in the field, and includes an English comprehension course to strengthen language skills.
Semester 2:
In the second semester, students deepen their technical skills with courses in object-oriented programming, web technologies, computer networks, and professional technical writing. A course on professional practices provides practical insights into industry standards and workplace readiness.
Year 2 : Core Cyber Security and Network Engineering
Semester 3:
Students build foundational knowledge in information security, operating systems, and data structures and algorithms. Courses in probability and statistics and computer organization and architecture provide essential analytical and technical skills, crucial for cybersecurity analysis.
Semester 4:
Focus shifts to specialized areas, with courses on cryptography, network engineering, and database management systems. Students also learn Python programming, a key language in cybersecurity, and delve into cybersecurity governance and compliance, covering critical regulations and standards.
Year 3: Advanced Cyber Security Practices and Project Development
Semester 5:
Semester 5: Advanced courses in steganography, cyber forensics, and ethical hacking and penetration testing equip students with hands-on techniques for detecting and countering cyber threats. A course on cloud security introduces cloud-based challenges and solutions, while students start their final year project (Phase I), applying their skills in a real-world setting.
Semester 6:
The final semester includes courses in intrusion detection and prevention systems, malware detection and analysis, and software engineering. A course on cyber ethics and laws explores the ethical considerations and legal frameworks governing cybersecurity. Students complete their final year project (Phase II), consolidating their learning through a comprehensive project.

Program Details
The online courses all strive to provide the most interactive learning experience available through cutting-edge technology, experienced instructors and worldwide professional engagement. In your online courses, you will attend with other students from other countries around the world. Using our integrated software, you will be able to discuss, share and learn from your instructors and colleagues, share research and fulfill the requirements for each course. You will be given a clear description of each course on day 1, and will have ample time to complete each assignment (complete with a rubric which shows you how to get the best grades on each one). You will be responsible to complete your assignments on time and to the specifications on the rubrics. However, if you have questions, you have access to support in our local support learning centers as well as our 24-hour online support.
To apply for the Bachelors in Cyber Security at PAIU, candidates must have completed high school with strong academic performance, particularly in mathematics and science.
The application process includes submission of transcripts, a personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
Admission at PAI University is granted on a rolling enrollment schedule. There are no deadlines for applications because we continually accept new students throughout the year. An application is reviewed by the admissions committee and evaluated based on a number of specific criteria. Original and official transcripts must be used for all accepted applications. Official transcripts that are not in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. An interview may be necessary to complete the application process. Upon submission of an application, students will be notified within 30 days as to whether or not acceptance has been granted. The university admits students regardless of race, color, national origin, disability, sex, or age.
