Educational and career journey
My educational and professional journey has been driven by a strong commitment to continuous learning, leadership, and development finance. Starting with a Bachelor of Science in International Relations, I developed a keen interest in the intersection of economics, finance, law, and public policy. This foundation inspired me to pursue advanced academic studies to deepen my understanding of global economic and financial systems.
Over the years, I progressively expanded my expertise through a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Finance, a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Banking and Finance Law, a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Finance Management, and ultimately a Ph.D. in Economics.
Each qualification contributed to strengthening my analytical, legal, financial, and strategic capabilities, enabling me to approach complex development and investment challenges from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Professionally, these academic achievements have supported my work in investment development and finance, where I have contributed to initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth, infrastructure development, and financial sector advancement. My journey reflects the belief that education is a lifelong process, and that continuous personal and professional development is essential for creating meaningful impact.
Today, I remain committed to applying my knowledge and experience to support economic transformation and sustainable development across the region.
PAIU's contribution to my personal or professional development.
My doctoral studies in Economics at Paris American International University (PAIU) have had a profound impact on both my personal and professional development. The PhD journey provided me with an opportunity to deepen my understanding of economic theory, research methodologies, and policy analysis while strengthening my ability to address complex development finance challenges.
From a professional perspective, the Programme enhanced my analytical and critical-thinking skills, enabling me to conduct rigorous research and apply evidence-based approaches to real-world economic and financial issues. My doctoral research on Environmental Finance: Developing Green Bond Markets to Boost Investment in Green Finance Projects in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) expanded my expertise in sustainable finance, climate-related investments, and capital market development.
These competencies have been directly relevant to my work in finance, Investment and Trade in Services, where strategic decision-making increasingly requires a strong understanding of sustainability, risk management, and innovative financing solutions.
The PhD Programme also strengthened my research, writing, and presentation skills.
Through extensive literature reviews, data analysis, and academic writing, I developed the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences. These skills have been invaluable in preparing policy recommendations, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to discussions on economic development and investment strategies.
On a personal level, completing the PhD cultivated resilience, discipline, and intellectual curiosity. Balancing doctoral studies with professional responsibilities required effective time management, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous learning. The experience challenged me to think independently, question conventional assumptions, and pursue innovative solutions to developmental and financial challenges.
Furthermore, the international perspective offered by PAIU enriched my understanding of global economic issues and exposed me to diverse viewpoints and academic approaches. This broadened perspective has enhanced my ability to work in multicultural and interdisciplinary environments and to contribute more effectively to regional and international development initiatives.
Overall, my studies at PAIU have not only advanced my academic qualifications but have also strengthened my leadership capabilities, research expertise, and professional effectiveness.
The knowledge, skills, and experiences gained through the Programme continue to influence my work and support my commitment to promoting sustainable economic development and innovative financial solutions across the African region.
