Educational and career journey
My name is Sajath PS, and I am currently working as a Senior Service Engineering Team Leader – SCMS & Industrial Cybersecurity at Hitachi Energy, Qatar. With more than 18 years of experience in industrial automation, power systems, and Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity, my career has been dedicated to enhancing the security, reliability, and resilience of critical infrastructure.
My academic journey reflects my passion for continuous learning and innovation. I earned a Master of Science (MS) in Cybersecurity from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar, followed by a PhD in Data & Cybersecurity from Paris American International University (PAIU).
PAIU's contribution to my personal or professional development.
My doctoral studies at PAIU played a significant role in strengthening my expertise in cybersecurity, particularly in the areas of network forensics, data security, industrial control system security, and academic research. The program enabled me to deepen my technical knowledge, enhance my analytical and research capabilities, and contribute to the advancement of cybersecurity practices through scholarly publications.

Current Professional Role
Today, I lead OT cybersecurity and industrial communication initiatives at Hitachi Energy, supporting critical infrastructure and utility sectors in Qatar. The knowledge and research experience gained through PAIU have helped me:
- Lead OT cybersecurity projects aligned with IEC 62443 standards for critical infrastructure.
- Deliver cybersecurity solutions for major utility and energy organizations.
- Bridge the gap between academic research and real-world cybersecurity challenges in the energy sector.
PAIU has been an important part of my professional journey, providing the platform to expand my research capabilities and contribute to the cybersecurity community. I hope my experience encourages current and future students to pursue their goals with determination, embrace lifelong learning, and leverage education as a catalyst for both personal and professional growth.
