Completing my PhD in Demography and Social Sciences at Paris American International University stands among the defining milestones of my professional life. I came to PAIU as a physician and health-systems leader with more than two decades of service spanning humanitarian relief, national ministry leadership, hospital transformation, and Somalia’s COVID-19 response.  PAIU gave me the intellectual home in which to formalise, deepen, and test that conviction at doctoral level.

I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 20 years of international experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, ERP implementation, and strategic business management across diverse industries. I hold an MBA from Paris American International University, which strengthened my leadership and global business perspective.

Studying in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme at Paris American International University gave me the opportunity to connect my practical business experience with academic research, strategic thinking, and leadership development. It helped me look at daily operational challenges from a wider perspective and strengthened my ability to analyze business problems, structure solutions, and make decisions based on evidence rather than assumptions.

Mathematics has been the throughline of my career for over 25 years, and completing my PhD in Cybersecurity at Paris American International University marks the most meaningful milestone yet. After decades teaching calculus, statistics, and computer science across Türkiye, Albania, and Bahrain — and guiding students through AP, IB, A-Level, and SAT preparation — I wanted to deepen my own expertise in Cybersecurity# machine learning and AI and bring that knowledge back into my classrooms and my leadership work. Successfully defending my viva this week feels like the culmination of that journey.

The knowledge and perspective I gained at Paris American International University have strengthened my ability to think strategically, conduct executive-level research, and make informed decisions in increasingly complex business environments.

The DBA program challenged me to integrate academic rigor with practical leadership, enabling me to approach organizational challenges with greater analytical depth, innovation, and confidence.

My name is Dr. Rocsana Marcu, and I am the Founder and CEO of Tangelo Real Estate, a real estate company based in Dubai specializing in investment opportunities and international property advisory services.

My professional journey has been built across media, entrepreneurship, and real estate. After a successful career in television, I transitioned into business and established my own real estate company in Dubai, one of the world’s most dynamic property markets.

My journey began in 2010 as a Field Engineer. After just eight months, I was promoted to Supervisor, an opportunity that motivated me to continue growing professionally. In 2014, I became a Central control Lead, followed by a promotion to Project Manager Officer in 2022. In 2024, I stepped into my current role as Project Team Lead.

I am currently serving as an HR Admin Researcher at the Ministry of Interior in the State of Qatar. While working full-time, I successfully pursued my doctoral studies at Paris American International University.

Balancing professional responsibilities with academic research was challenging, but it strengthened my discipline, time management, and commitment to lifelong learning. Completing my PhD marks an important milestone in my personal and professional journey.

With more than 18 years of experience in industrial automation, power systems, and Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity, my career has been dedicated to enhancing the security, reliability, and resilience of critical infrastructure.

My academic journey reflects my passion for continuous learning and innovation. I earned a Master of Science (MS) in Cybersecurity from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar, followed by a PhD in Data & Cybersecurity from Paris American International University (PAIU).

My educational journey has been driven by a passion for learning, innovation, and creating solutions that improve lives. Throughout my academic career, I have actively pursued opportunities that combine scientific knowledge, technology, and social impact. Rather than limiting myself to a single discipline, I have embraced interdisciplinary learning to better understand and solve complex global challenges.

My pursuit of a Ph.D. in Law at PAIU has further strengthened my research capabilities, critical thinking, and understanding of legal and ethical frameworks governing innovation.
